PRIVACY AND DECORATIVE FILM

Privacy and Decorative Window Film in Sioux Falls

Frosted and patterned films add privacy and a finished look to glass you already have, without replacing it. Let the light in and keep the view out where it matters.

Privacy that works day and night

Reflective solar film gives daytime privacy only while it is brighter outside than in. After dark, with the lights on, people can see in. Frosted and decorative films work differently: they diffuse the view in both directions, any time of day, while still letting light through.

Daytime privacy example: at Lloyd Companies’ Steel District in downtown Sioux Falls, one-way mirror film on a rooftop patio window wall keeps a construction staging room out of view while it is brighter outside than inside. Guests on the patio see a clean, mirrored wall in those conditions; this is not an all-day or nighttime privacy solution. See more recent Sioux Falls projects.

Frosted

A clean, etched-glass look that blocks the view and keeps the light. The most common choice for bathrooms, sidelights and conference rooms.

Patterns and gradients

Lines, textures and fades from clear to frosted. Useful when you want privacy at seated eye level and an open feel above it.

Partial coverage

Bands and strips at the height you choose, for privacy and to make large glass panels easier to see.

Logos and brand colors

Your logo cut into frosted film on a door or glass wall, or colored film to match your brand. We confirm the design with you before we install.

Planning the coverage

  1. Decide what needs to stay hidden and from where: seated, standing, or from the street.
  2. Choose full coverage, a band, or a gradient.
  3. Compare samples on the actual glass for look and light.

Plan your decorative film

During an on-site consultation, we can compare frosted, patterned, and custom decorative-film samples against your actual glass. The right coverage depends on the room, lighting, and viewing angles.

Privacy film questions

Does frosted film still let light in?

Yes. It diffuses light rather than blocking it, so rooms stay bright.

Will people be able to see in at night?

Not through frosted film; you may see shapes and light. Reflective solar film is different and does not give nighttime privacy.

Can decorative film be removed later?

Yes. It can be removed from the glass, which makes it a good fit for leased offices and changing layouts.

Can it go on shower glass?

Often, on the dry side of the glass with a suitable product. We confirm the right film during the estimate.

Do you print custom graphics or logos?

Yes. We cut logos and designs into frosted film and offer colored film for brand colors. Bring your artwork and we’ll confirm the design with you before we install.
